Faith and Healing

In 2011, my mother was in the hospital dying. I prayed for her healing. She died March 30, 2011.

God may choose to heal, regardless of my level of prayer, fasting and faith.

God may choose to not heal regardless of my level of prayer, fasting and faith.

God is not more of a God because He heals, and He is not less of a God because He doesn’t!

I DO BELIEVE the Bible gives clear instruction and examples where prayer, fasting and faith has moved God to heal. I DO BELIEVE there are modern day examples where prayer, fasting and faith has moved God to heal. Therefore, I will always believe and pray and fast and maintain my faith.

If God is a sovereign GOD, then He is not a geni in a lamp where He is obligated to accommodate my prayer, my fasting and my faith.

My mother’s death left a huge hole in my life and the lives of so many that loved her. There was still so much for her to experience. But my prayers were not a failure, and my God did not disappoint me. He just didn’t heal her.

I do not fully understand God.

I do not fully understand prayer.

I do not fully understand faith.

I do not fully understand myself.

I fully accept God without knowing it all.
