The older I get the more I realize two things about words.
- Words do matter.
You can do so many things with words.
You can encourage with words and you can tear down with words.
You can sell with words and you can steal with words.
You can help someone find their future with words and you can keep someone stuck in their past with words.
You can use words speak to others and you can speak to yourself.
2. Few things are really said.
Even though words do matter and have can do so much with words, we really speak few words that have real worth.
There is nothing wrong with “shooting the breeze”, having “a gab fest”, making “small talk” etc.
But the older I get, the more I want to make the words I use matter!
