Accomplishments

I have had a casual study of accomplished people for years. You just kind of pay attention to people who have accomplished a lot in this world. There are many books and studies about why or how some people tend to accomplish more. They are worth some of your time, and yet, for all the studies, none guarantee success. Many things lead to accomplishment, but there are few absolute formulas.

Let’s define hard work. Hard work alone is not enough, some people work hard all their lives without making much money or creating real change or influence. That’s why you also need some imagination about where and how to apply the hard work. Hard work can also wear you out prematurely if you’re not careful. See the graph below.

Having mentioned all of the above, there’s always this…

Psalm 90:17  May the favor of the Lord our God rest on us; establish the work of our hands for us— yes, establish the work of our hands.

And of course, there’s is the Prayer of Jabez. Imagination and hard work can do wonders and help you accomplish much. But the FAVOR of God, the blessing of God and the expansion of your territory can transcend both imagination and hard work.

God’s favor + Imagination + Hard work. A great recipe for accomplishments.

Most of Life’s accomplishments do not require brilliance, just some imagination and a lot of hard work.
